Innovation is key to creating more jobs, building a greener society and improving our quality of life, while maintaining our competitiveness in the global market. Apart from the European Capital of Innovation Award and the European Prize for Innovation in Public Administration, the European Union (EU) also rewards outstanding women for the most innovative projects with the EU Prize for Women Innovators. The contest is open to all women who have founded or co-founded their company and who have at some point of their careers benefitted from the EU's research framework programmes, the EURATOM Framework Programme, the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) or actions relating to research and innovation under the European Structural and Investment Funds (known as the Structural Funds prior to 2014).
Also be sure to consult our ‘success stories’ section, as it features some of these women!
